PT HINO FINANCE INDONESIA SUPPORTS UPCYLING PROGRAM AND FINANCIAL LITERACY EDUCATION FOR INCLUSIVE STUDENTS AT YKDW 02, TANGERANG

Tangerang, 20 May 2026 – PT Hino Finance Indonesia (“the Company”) once again demonstrated its commitment to education and youth empowerment through its support for an upcycling program and financial literacy education for inclusive students at Sekolah Khusus Yayasan Karya Dharma Wanita (YKDW) 02 Tangerang, a school dedicated to students with hearing impairments. In collaboration with Sekolah Relawan, the Company presented an initiative that not only broadens students’ perspectives, but also equips them with the skills to transform simple things in their surroundings into something useful and valuable.

A warm atmosphere was evident from the outset of the event through an opening dance performance by one of YKDW 02’s inclusive students, delivered with spirit and confidence. The performance served as a memorable opening while reflecting the considerable potential of the students. The program then continued with remarks from Mr. Agus Waluya, S.Pd, Secretary of the YKDW Foundation, who conveyed his appreciation for the Company’s support. On the same occasion, the Company’s Director, Mr. Budi Arifianto Wibisana, expressed his hope that the initiative would become a meaningful experience and further strengthen the students’ confidence in developing their abilities. As part of the event series, a symbolic handover of support was also conducted from the Company to the Principal of YKDW 02, Mrs. Mulyati, S.Pd.

Following the ceremonial session, the Company delivered financial literacy material covering an introduction to financial service institutions, sound financial management, the importance of prudent investing, as well as education on the risks and dangers of online gambling. The material was presented with the expectation that it would help students understand the importance of financial management from an early age, enabling them to grow into individuals who are more independent, wise, and better prepared to face future challenges. The delivery of this material also formed part of the implementation of the Financial Literacy Month kick-off initiated by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

In addition, the students participated in a sharing session on upcycling products presented by an upcycling practitioner from JBI Asih, Depok. Through visual presentations of various recycled products, the students were introduced to the concept of upcycling, its environmental benefits, and its economic potential. More than a learning session, this activity invited the students to understand that creativity can emerge from simple things, and that items no longer in use can be transformed into something beneficial and valuable.

Through this program, the Company hopes to help create experiences that are constructive, empowering, and broadening for the students. The Company believes that every child has the potential to grow and shine when provided with the right space, support, and opportunity. Moving forward, the Company will continue its efforts to deliver social initiatives that provide tangible benefits and foster a positive spirit within the community, particularly in the areas of education, the environment, and community empowerment.
