HFI GOES TO SCHOOL - EDUCATE STUDENTS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AT SD PERGURUAN RAKYAT 2


Jakarta, 8 October 2024 – In order to support the Financial Inclusion Month (“BIK”) Program, PT Hino Finance Indonesia ("the Company") is once again holding  financial literacy activities for students. This activity was carried out to increase students' awareness of the importance of managing their finances from an early age. This time, the Company provided literacy to Grade 5 and 6 students at SD Perguruan Rakyat 2 – Bukit Duri, South Jakarta. 

Financial literacy is important to be instilled early because knowledge and experience about finance that is instilled early will form good character and habits to manage finances in the future.

The financial literacy activity was presented by Mr. Ali Hasan, as Assistant Manager of the Company's Customer Service Department. In his presentation, Mr. Ali explained the importance of managing finances and how to manage finances for students, one of which is with the habit of saving. Mr. Ali also introduced the concept of introducing financial management wisely and being able to control financial expenditures by distinguishing which are needs and wants.

In addition to material on financial management, Mr. Ali also explained about financial institutions and provided an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of financial services.

The Company hopes that with financial literacy activities for students, students can learn to use money intelligently and can prepare themselves to be part of a financially healthy society in the future. By forming a strong foundation of financial literacy, the Company hopes to form a young generation that is not consumptive and able to spend their money wisely.

In collaboration with Sekolah Relawan, the Company presented an initiative that not only broadens students’ perspectives, but also equips them with the skills to transform simple things in their surroundings into something useful and valuable.
